👮 Beat Blog – Loughborough & Shepshed (9th–16th October 2025) Hello everyone, Here’s your weekly update from the neighbourhood policing team covering Loughborough and Shepshed. 🕵️♂️ Crimes of Note: Burns Road, Loughborough – Theft from an unattended motor vehicle. Entry method is currently unknown, but property was stolen from inside the vehicle.Tickow Lane, Shepshed – Theft of a heavy construction vehicle from a building site. Two males were arrested and the vehicle has since been recovered.Barsby Drive, Loughborough – Theft from an insecure motor vehicle. Items were stolen after the vehicle was left unlocked.🔒 Crime Prevention Focus: Vehicle Crime We’re seeing a rise in thefts from vehicles, particularly those left unattended or insecure. Please remember: Always lock your vehicle, even if you're only stepping away briefly.Remove valuables from sight – ideally take them with you.Consider using steering locks or other visible deterrents.Park in well-lit, secure areas whenever possible.Report any suspicious activity to us via 101 or online.Your vigilance helps us keep our communities safe.
